A highly regarded company commercial lawyer has joined leading south east law firm Furley Page - recommended by Chambers UK and Legal 500 - to head up the corporate team at its new Thames Gateway office at Chatham.

A highly regarded company commercial lawyer has joined leading south east law firm Furley Page - recommended by Chambers UK and Legal 500 - to head up the corporate team at its new Thames Gateway office at Chatham.

Susan Jennings, 34, comes to Furley Page from a background of advising a broad range of UK and multi-national companies – notably in the manufacturing and automotive sectors - on diverse commercial deals.

Her extensive experience includes leading a number of high-value transactions – a recent one in the region of £250 million - such as group reorganisations and the acquisition and disposal of multi-million pound companies.

Susan, who practised in Sevenoaks for five years and in Dartford for the last three, is soon to move back to Whitstable. She commented: “Heading up the corporate team at Furley Page is a great opportunity to offer both existing and new clients local and easily accessible expertise.

“I enjoy working closely with businesses of all sizes at whatever point in their history - setting up; entering into joint ventures; needing assistance with commercial contracts; expanding or ultimately selling up - finding the best way to tackle problems and advise them in a solution-driven, friendly and commercially pragmatic way.”
