Robbie Williams inspires new British artists Tonight is the grand finale of the X Factor (UK ITV1) and finalist Ray Quinn hopes Robbie Williams is watching and voting for him. Ray cant be 'that' big a fan as he would know Rob's abit busy in Melbourne Australia right now finishing his 2006 Close Encounters world tour. Ray, speaking to the Sun said........ "Robbie is my absolute hero and inspiration. I think he’s brilliant. I’d be thrilled if I found out he had been watching the show and voting for me" Bookies think that fellow finalist LEONA LEWIS and her amazing power ballads have gained her the edge, but Ray hopes make a last-minute comeback with his version of FRANK SINATRA classic My Way. ROBBIE WILLIAMS made croon cool again with his Rat Pack tribute Swing When You’re Winning, one of his biggest-selling albums. Ray thinks If it worked for Robbie, it’s good enough for him.
