Movie Genius Harmony Korine Produces Another Gem
Cannes Film Festival 2007 has seen the eagerly awaited return of the loveable and controversial directorial mastermind, Harmony Korine best known for his previous movie gems, Gummo and Julien Donkey-Boy. Harmony received a rapturous welcome at the world premiere of his first film in eight years, Mister Lonely. A brilliantly produced fantasy about a commune of celebrity impersonators in the Scottish Highlands that features Samantha Morton as Marilyn Monroe, Melita Morgan as Maddona and Diego Luna as Michael Jackson.
The Star studded film has produced some fantastic performances and has elevated the Blonde Bombshell from Norwich, Melita, into the International limelight. "Appearing at the internationally - renowned festival was a lifelong ambition fulfilled," said Melita "Having a Norfolk girl appearing at Cannes in a movie is really something. I am hoping it will lead to more work through, with agents in London and the United States showing interest. I have done Maddona and Marilyn, but they are just two of my roles as an actress. I would love to do some more challenging roles such as period drama, horror or thrillers," she added. Melita has done Marilyn and Maddona roles all over the world, and last year appeared in a film with Sir Bob Geldoff, called I Am Bob, that is due to debut at the New York film festival. The PR team at Melita's Norfolk based agency, Amber Models UK, have stepped up promotions with hundreds of exclusive photographs to keep up with the demanding Months ahead. |
