Stories of note this month include:

* Unrest in the paper industry continued this month as Finnish workers arranged a 48 hr strike in protest at looming job cuts. This is the latest in a series of such strikes, but we are told that the strikes could on this occasion affect print prices in the UK.
* Anyone wishing to brush up on their Photoshop skills can now take an accredited, 21-day course designed by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
* The Professional Printers Association (PPA) will be holding a Pricing in Proportion (PiP) workshop on 9 June 2006. Representatives from Royal Mail will be present to answer questions and discuss implementation issues.
* The EC is disputing the government’s right to exempt the national carrier, Royal Mail, from VAT on the grounds that it is anti-competitive.
* Adobe has moved to reassure industry professionals after fears that it would abandon the traditional Mac operating system, OS X.
