Two former managers of the failed holiday company Travelscope have gone and bought the company. Travelscope, who specialised in coach holidays, river cruises and ocean cruises, collapsed in December last year with the loss of over 200 jobs. Darren Parris and Anu Desai, 2 former Travelscope managers, have set up Phoenix Holidays and it is their hope that those passengers whos holidays are 'up in the air' will still have a holiday to look forward to. 45,000 customers have been affected with 12,000 holidays having been cancelled so far but Phoenix Holidays hope to be able to offer alternatives to those affected. However those whos holiday includes a flight will need to fill in a claim form with the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority)as holidays with air will not be offered by Phoenix. |
