Gurgaon, India –February 27, 2007. Evalueserve, the global research and analytics firm, is the winner of the prestigious NASSCOM IT Innovations Awards 2006. Evalueserve has won this award in the Business Model innovation category and has been recognized for its business intelligence services, customized reports and value-added research to clients in different industry verticals. Evalueserve is one of the 7 finalists (from the short listed 18 companies) who have been felicitated by the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh at the NASSCOM 2007 India Leadership Forum, on the 9th of February in Mumbai. The Prime Minister while addressing in the event said “In the field of business process outsourcing (BPO), we must not only retain our first mover advantage, but move up the value chain. To be able to do so, our BPO industry should increasingly become a knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) industry. It should leverage on the high quality human capital that exists in the country in a wide range of fields – in engineering, architecture, medicine, law, accountancy, finance, management, and entertainment. This transition from BPO to KPO will require broad-basing the knowledge economy and improving its capabilities.” Evalueserve is a pioneer in innovation and has created the new business segment called KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing). It was infact one of the first, third party provider of research and analytics services from India serving the global markets. Evalueserve has been successful in differentiating itself from the realm of traditional offshoring models.
“The unique and innovative business model that Evalueserve is thriving on allows disaggregation of the knowledge value chain and enables more innovation for our end clients, especially SME’s. This is definitely a world class business model and we expect to be more successful with this model,” is what Marc Vollenweider, CEO & Co-founder, Evalueserve said.
Ashish Gupta, COO & Country Head, Evalueserve, who was in Mumbai to collect the award, said “Innovation is becoming the CEO’s agenda in many large companies. IP for example is no longer seen as a legal function but as a strategic issue. Rather than leaving it to be an evolutionary process, the top management of companies should take it up as a business issue. Large companies have to understand that they either innovate or they die.”
NASSCOM is the representative body of IT services in India and the NASSCOM IT Innovation in India Awards 2006 aims to highlight different facets of IT innovation in India – process, business models and products. This award also aims to encourage, support and reward innovative approaches and breakthrough solutions and recognize the people and the organizations behind these endeavors.NASSCOM believes that IT innovation is slowly gathering momentum in India. As global customers and giant ICT companies outsource their core product development and R&D work to the country and as its service providers make "out-of the-box" services a key differentiator, an ecosystem of innovation is getting built in India.
