What’s on TV has signed a three-month cross platform deal with Butlins, the UK’s most famous holiday company, for the launch of the magazine’s website, www.whatsontv.co.uk. The deal sees Butlins take exclusive ownership of all the advertising space on the website and feature in promotional activity within the magazine.

From its launch on January 23, whatsontv.co.uk will feature Butlins banners, skyscrapers and videos; a splash page linking to www.butlins.com; and a Butlins button on the site’s navigation bar. In addition, all online activity promoting the website’s launch, including banners and email competitions, will feature the association with Butlins.

Offline, Butlins will be included in What’s on TV competitions promoting the launch and it will have four full-page advertorials in TVTimes and TV easy.

Andrew Miller, Keith Yonish and Natalie Bell from IPC Media and Rachel Kepinska and Alicia Coghlan from Butlins negotiated the deal.

Jackie Martin, sales & marketing director, Butlins says: "We're delighted to be the launch partner for whatsontv.co.uk. IPC Weeklies Creative Solutions has worked tirelessly to integrate our brand and communication messages on and offline, delivering a marketing campaign that provides real standout and impetus to our marketing objectives for 2007. This is the start of a great relationship and we look forward to working on future projects together."

Philippa Brown, IPC tx managing director, adds: “We are delighted to be launching whatsontv.co.uk and we are thrilled to have the support of Butlins in this three-month deal. Whatsontv.co.uk will be the UK’s only website providing a comprehensive, trusted one-stop shop for all the biggest and best soaps and shows on TV and will fast become a favourite destination for all TV fans.”

Whatsontv.co.uk will offer users a multi-channel TV listings guide, TV news and gossip, coverage of all the major soaps, previews of the day’s must-see shows, and an in-depth TV film guide.
