Royal&SunAlliance appoints the Management Team for Construction & Engineering Asia & Middle East |

New appointments at Royal & SunAliance for Asia and Middle East.
The booming property development and construction market in Asia & Middle East present a sizable potential for construction and engineering (C&E) insurance. Recognizing this potential, Royal & SunAlliance has begun an expansion of their insurance capabilities for Asia & Middle East and are therefore pleased to announce the appointment of the Management Team for Construction & Engineering, Asia & Middle East, effective from the 1st of December 2007: HaoMing ZHOU, Head of C&E Asia & Middle East (based in Hong Kong) Ringo Ho, Leader of C&E, North Asia (based in Shanghai) Doreen Lim, Leader of C&E, South Asia (based in Singapore) Andrew Smith, Leader of C&E Middle East (based in Bahrain) Bernard Dunraven, Chief Underwriter C&E, Asia & Middle East (based in Dubai) Russell Dickerson, Risk Management Solutions Asia & Middle East (based in Dubai) John Lewis, Claims Management, Asia & Middle East (based in Dubai)
HaoMing Zhou, Ringo Ho and Andrew Smith are the three most recent recruitments to the team. HaoMing brings 23 years of working experience in professional engineering as well as construction and engineering underwriting practice. He has a good track record of being able to develop a professional underwriting team and maintain a profitable portfolio. HaoMing joined RSA earlier this year from SwissRe, where he was Head of Construction Development Asia Pacific. Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience in Construction & Engineering having worked in the UK with the Sedgwick Group, in Singapore and Thailand with Aon and with Alexander Forbes Wattana Co Ltd in Thailand. Andrew's most recent appointment was as Regional Director, Construction & Infrastructure Asia with Aon, based in Hong Kong. With the appointment of Andrew Smith on December 1, the R&SA management team for C&E in the Asia & Middle East region is now complete. Dr. HaoMing ZHOU, Head of C&E, said: “The leadership team brings an average of over 20 years experience in the construction & engineering industry and C&E related insurance, and is effective immediately. C&E is one of the key initiatives in our region and with the management team now in place, I’m confident that we will deliver our ambitious growth targets.” Scott Pickering, CEO Asia & Middle East, added: “We are delighted to have a complete Management Team and I am confident that our management team's significant experience will enable them to provide the leadership to further grow our Construction & Engineering business in Asia and Middle East.”
