| Honey the Yorkshire Terrier has delighted her owner Marissa Evetts by winning a year's supply of pet food. Mrs Evetts entered the competition, run by pet insurance company Pet Protect, at her local veterinary surgery. She sent in the competition entry while waiting at Baron & Johnson Veterinary Surgery, Crewe. 'I was so surprised when Pet Protect contacted me to say I had won', she commented 'I had quite forgotten all about it.' Honey will be flavour of the month at home in Edleston Road in Crewe with her friends and house mates - three cats named Sapphire, Baby and Inka - as Honey prefers to eat cat food. Honey likes dried cat food and all four pets often snuggle up together and lick each other. 'I often wonder whether Honey thinks she is a cat too' said Mrs Evetts. Mr Johnson, the vet who cares for all Mrs Evetts' pets, confirmed that a diet of cat food will do Honey no harm. 'In fact it provides a good nutritional diet for small dogs, especially if supplemented with fresh meat occasionally.' Pet Protect offers quality pet insurance products offering lifelong cover for your pets, plus dog and cat care information from a trusted pet specialist insurance provider. |
