Nikki Holley of Ashurst Wood, mother of three year old twins Xavier and Zach has started a business out of the frustration of not being able to find the right products for Xavier, who has Cerebral Palsy. The business was started in July 2007 after many failed attempts at sourcing suitable heavy- duty dribble bandanas and feeding bibs for Xavier. Most of the bandanas on the market are for children who are teething and will soak through very quickly, Xavier needed something more substantial to protect both his chest and his clothes from the constant damp. “I got fed up changing the bandanas up to 6 times a day and being charged a fortune for a feeding bib for his age group.... so I started to make them. Other parents of special needs children asked where I got them, wanted them, and here I am, making bandanas and feeding bibs for children and adults. My fabric designs do change frequently on purpose to allow limited numbers: this makes the dribble bandana or feeding bib as original as I can make it. My son likes the fact that other children don't have the same bandanas at school.” For further information contact http://www.thebigredcompany.co.uk This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Nikki Holley 07774 768021## |
