Homes from as far as New Hampshire and Cape Cod felt the incredible after shock from a chemical explosion in the Danvers Port section of Danvers Massachusetts. Just a mile away the sound and shock waves shook the homes of Nick Gikas and George Banks. Nick and George own a modular company in Middleton MA.
The custom modular homes MACC built for these two blast victims are beautiful. Each house was customized to fit exactly what their needs were. Both houses are manufactured in Pennsylvania by Avis America (www.AvisAmerica.com). The Merit’s now have a wonderful view of the Danvers River and enjoy single floor living and an attached single car garage. The Begonis property will eventually be a rental offering open floor plan, 3 large bedrooms, a walk up attic and a full basement.
Modular America Construction Corporation is the Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire exclusive builder for Avis America (Excel Homes). Avis America is ranked 3rd in the country and 1st on the East Coast from Virginia to Maine for modular home manufacturing. One can reach MACC by either emailing Vice President, George Banks ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or by calling 978-210-2708.
President of MACC, Nick Gikas stated, “My family is from Danvers and we have lived here our entire lives. We are in a position to help out and we did. We donated our services to Tie-In the modular homes for George and Joyce Merritt of Riverside Street and Michael Begonis, also of River Street. Both were able to put this money back into the house for upgrades and to cover some expenses that insurance wouldn’t cover. We are honored and fortunate enough to be able to help like this.”
About Modular America Construction Corporation: Nick Gikas and George Banks are both from Danvers and own and operate a very successful modular home construction company with their office in Middleton MA. They stated that after experiencing the shock (1 mile away) from the blast, they new something bad had happened. Help flooded the blast victims from state government to local charities and Modular America Construction Corp wanted to help too.
