COMMON LAW RELATIONSHIPS – NO LEGAL STATUS |

Some months ago the Law Commission recognised that 4,000,000 people now cohabited without marrying and recommended that the law should recognise a ‘common law relationship.’ The government under Gordon Brown has effectively shelved the issue and it is likely to be many years before there are any changes in the law. Recognising the legal problem, internet pioneering solicitors, Kaye Tesler & Co, have developed an online system which, for a fraction of the cost of seeing a solicitor face to face, will prepare a binding cohabitation agreement. The system asks questions in exactly the same way as a solicitor would ask a client in a normal interview situation and cleverly adjusts so that follow on questions depend upon answers already given. In this way the system builds a personalised cohabitation agreement, far different from the simple forms that can be purchased at stationers or elsewhere on the web. A free explanatory CD or you can listen on line is available at:https://www.uklaw.net/cohab/landing_page_cd.asp and the system itself is at which prepares the cohabitation agreement for £150+VAT can be found at www.uklaw.net/cohab. About Kaye Tesler & Co: In 1997, The Law Society’s Gazette said that the firm of solicitors had “catapulted itself the forefront of internet commerce with the most interactive legal website in the country, perhaps even Europe.” Since that time the suburban firm has won several awards for its innovative creation and offering of web based legal services.
