New Portal offers one stop search facility for UK Government documents

A new portal has been launched to help UK consumers get access to a range of government supplied certificates and documents in one convenient, easy to use place.


The website is www.officialrecords.co.uk and has been designed to take the strain from consumers who often have to go through a painstaking and laborious search process to track down every day essential documents, such as birth certificates and land Registry Records.

Most records can now be accessed from the Government online, but often their websites are difficult to find and even more difficult to use. Official Records aims to tie in as many services as possible in one place to make life even easier for the harassed consumer for a reasonable fee.

The website is already being used by over 10,000 people a month since soft launching in 2005 and unlike most Government departments, the phone is always answered on time and by a friendly, knowledgeable member of the search team.
