Caribbean investment club teaches individuals proper methods of investing in stocks, stock options, ETFs, mutual funds, futures, forex on the tropical isle of Puerto Rico.

San Juan, PR — Wednesday, March 19, 2008 — The 4,000,000 population island of Puerto Rico has long lacked a trustworthy portal to learn to invest.  Dr. Scott Brown, Ph.D. professor of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Puerto at Rio Piedras announced the creation of the Caribbean Investment Club.

“I created the club because of the frustration of my students.  They have long complained that there is no safe place to learn investing.  I created the club free for University of Puerto Rico students.  There has been such interest from the local public that we decided to offer it to all non-students to join for monthly or annual dues.”

The announcement of the club has received strong support from leading investment experts nationwide.  Ron Ianieri of Options University and Lan Turner of Gecko Software applauded the club.  Both have secured further support from outstanding investment authorities nationwide.  Mr. Turner stated, “finally we’ll all have a fun and warm place to go talk investing during the harsh Utah winters.”  Mr. Ianieri furthered, “It’ll be fun to chill in the La Mina waterfall of the El Yunque rainforest with club!” 

The only thing close to an investment club in Puerto Rico to date has been, “Grupo Financiero Corujo”. Corujo offers financial management workshops but the intention is to sell backend financial services.  The Caribbean Investment Club is neutral ground for free intellectual interaction among individuals desiring to further their investment education.    Members can focus on learning and don’t have to fend off aggressive financial marketers.
