Finding Solutions:  African Caribbean Young People and Gang Violence

Introductory Evening Tonight in Walthamstow, East London.

Tuesday 27th May 7-9 p.m.

African Caribbean young people are being murdered through gun and knife crime.  These crimes are on the rise.  If this is a hot summer, it is likely that even more blood will run.

Many problems begin with relationship breakdown and family breakdown.  Young people are turning to gangs for a feeling of belonging, and in order to get the guidance and support that is lacking at home.

Single parents are often struggling, doing the best they can to raise their kids.  But a child needs both his or her parents.

Parents need support.

Young boys and girls are growing up fatherless, with no positive male role model in the family home.

We need to find positive solutions.

Young people are in crisis.

This workshop is for the African Caribbean community.  If you are a parent or you work with young people, please join us.  Young people aged 16+ are also welcome.
