Clubbers Spring into Action for Sick Kids Edinburgh’s clubbing community and Leith FM are holding a Spring clubbing bash in a bid to raise over £10,000 for the Edinburgh Evening News Sick Kids Friends Foundation Appeal. The Edinburgh Clubbing Community Forum (ECCF), in conjunction with Leith FM, will take over all three floors of The Venue on Calton Road on Friday 31st March with a spectacular DJ line up from Edinburgh’s top clubs. A total of 21 DJ’s will be playing on the night including Scotland’s top house spinner Huggy, Fisher & Price from Taste and Tokyo Blu, all performing free of charge. Each room will have a different theme and other entertainment on the night includes a breakdancing performance. Previous fundraising efforts from the ECCF include the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ in December last year which saw 800 clubbers bussed out to the mystery venue in Edinburgh for a unique clubbing experience taking the final total raised last year to £3500 for the Sick Kids Appeal. Neil Numb, ECCF events manager said: “Once again I am overwhelmed by the support of the Edinburgh Clubbing Community. Everybody involved gives up their time and resources for nothing and I am honored to be working with such an amazing team of people who feel so strongly about this cause. At this rate we will have no problem reaching our target of £10,000 this year for the Edinburgh Sick Kids.” “We are also hoping to host other fundraising activities in participating bars and restaurants and other establishments over the two weeks before the event so would urge anyone who wants to get involved to contact myself on 0790 3932930 or go to www.eccf.co.uk for details.” Tickets for the event will be available from March 1st from the City Café – Blair Street and Ripping Records South Bridge. Tickets are priced £8 in advance and £10 on the door. The event will run from 10pm to 3am. -Ends- For more information please contact Neil Numb on 0790 3932930 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Notes to Editors: |
