The Eastern Landlords Association (ELA) will be hosting an event for landlords on Wednesday 27th February 2008 at the Hotel Elizabeth Ipswich, Ipswich. Starting at 7.30pm, the meeting will enable potential and existing landlords across the region to come together to receive vital guidance on the buy-to-let market and meet like-minded individuals in one room. The aim of the meeting will be to provide information on the following subjects concerning all buy-to-let investors:
- Local housing allowances,
- Tenancy deposit schemes and
- Capital Gains Tax.
The ELA, set up in 1989 by a small number of Norwich based landlords, has grown significantly and now provides mutual advice and assistance to property investors throughout East Anglia. The purpose of the organisation is to promote the advantages of renting and safeguarding the interests of local buy-to-let investors. Lynsey Sweales, chairperson of the Norwich and District branch of the ELA comments: “We are delighted to host this event for landlords. These events are held to help landlords stay ahead of the property market and keep up-to-date on all legislation which affects them and their investment.” To find out more or to register to attend, please contact Derek Leach on 01603 767101 or email
