UK Energy Saving Adds New Ethical Living Section to The Consumer Website

Consumer website, UK Energy Saving, has added a new Ethical Living section to their sitemap.  The popular site, found at http://www.uk-energy-saving.com, which was launched in 2006 and nominated for a Green England Green Award last year, covers a wide variety of topics relating to and linked with energy saving.   The aim of http://www.uk-energy-saving.com is to provide consumers with a broad range of information and to point them in the right direction for further details on their topic of interest.  Whilst the initial focus was, as the name suggests, on energy saving measures, the UK Energy Saving team is conscious that their visitors are often also interested in related topics.  Energy saving is just one part of living an eco-friendly life and topics such as organics are already included on the website.   Web Marketing Director for UK Energy Saving, Hayley Jones, explains the addition of the new section.  “Subjects such as Fairtrade are already included on http://www.uk-energy-saving.com, and this and some other topics fit perfectly into an ‘ethical living’ concept.  We therefore decided to add the new section for two reasons.  Firstly to aid navigation for visitors looking for topics we already cover, and secondly in order to branch more into ethical subjects.  Clearly there is a strong overlap between ethical and environmentally-friendly living, and we believe that this is of interest to many of our visitors.” In addition to this key new area, all company-related information has been put into one UK Energy Saving section of the sitemap.  This covers pages such as the electronic newsletter, press releases and the contact page.  Visit http://www.uk-energy-saving.com to see the new sections and to keep up to date with the addition of new pages.
