Following the record-breaking success of last year’s Recycling & Waste Management Exhibition (RWM), hundreds of companies have already signed up to exhibit at RWM 08 which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 16 to 18 September 2008. Featuring new, expanding and long-established companies, the growing RWM exhibitor list is evidence that Europe’s recycling industry is in excellent health.

Following the record-breaking success* of last year’s Recycling & Waste Management Exhibition (RWM), hundreds of companies have already signed up to exhibit at RWM 08 which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 16 to 18 September 2008. Featuring new, expanding and long-established companies, the growing RWM exhibitor list is evidence that Europe’s recycling industry is in excellent health. Among the RWM newcomers are Nathans Waste Savers and Chemtec Waste Management (both textile recyclers) and Griffith Elder & Co Ltd (who will be exhibiting portable weighbridges). New names in the outdoor area include Vauxhall Motors, Bobcat, Turmec Engineering, NTM GB and Whale Tankers. Whale Tankers is the first tanker company to exhibit at RWM. Having been impressed by a visit to the show last year, the company has booked an outdoor stand to demonstrate its water jetting technology which uses recycled water.  RWM is also pleased to welcome back companies which made their debuts at RWM 07, such as Smurfit Kappa Recycling and Kaizen Recycling, together with regular exhibitors like P&L Software who will be celebrating the company’s 21st birthday at the show.  Several exhibitors are investing in larger stands to promote their products and services at RWM 08. Expanding company, Blue, will be exhibiting on both indoor and outdoor stands, with a spares counter and live demonstrations. It signed a distribution contract with Pellenc Optical Sorting Equipment at last year’s show and plans to use RWM to showcase its newly formed company, Blue (Advanced Technologies).  Meanwhile exhibitors are already revealing details of the wide range of innovative waste management and recycling solutions that visitors will be able to see at the show. Schoeller Arca will be showcasing packaging solutions for handling fluorescent tubes and The Environment Exchange (t2e) will be talking about its online trading facility for the Waste Electronic Electrical Equipment market. Although the exhibition areas have been expanded to accommodate the increased demand for stand space, organisers are warning that companies intending to exhibit should book now to avoid disappointment. Last year’s stand space was sold out with 459 exhibiting companies, over two thirds of whom have already rebooked for 2008. RWM’s event manager, Gerry Sherwood, said: “This high proportion of early stand bookings is a strong indication that RWM will be even bigger this year. The enterprising recycling sector continues to grow and we are privileged to be at the centre of it, creating an environment where business can be done.” RWM 08 takes place from 16 to 18 September at the Birmingham NEC. It will feature free seminar programmes including Talking Climate Change and live waste and recycling demonstrations. For more information visit www.rwminfo.com Ends.
