£30,000 of Prizes up For Grabs for Therapy Entrepreneurs |

National competition launched for therapy students and qualified therapists who are keen to set up and run their own business.
The Therapy Business Academy has launched a national competition to find the most entrepreneurial therapy student in the country and help them set up their own business. The top prizes, worth in excess of £30,000, include treatment/practice room, car, laptop, website, PR campaign and as well as marketing support and coaching. Students studying therapies such as reflexology, aromatherapy, psychotherapy, counselling and many others, and planning to set up in business, can enter the competition via their college. Speaking about the competition, Peter Dickson, Director of the Therapy Business Academy, said: “Those who study for a therapy qualification are committed to helping people but sometimes they struggle when it comes to setting up and running a successful business because the skills needed are very different. I am delighted that, via this competition, we will be able to help therapy entrepreneurs get off to a flying start and give them the best chance to turn their vocation into a successful business venture.” The Therapy Business Academy was launched in November 2007. It is the only organisation in the country set up, specifically, to provide business support, advice and information to those training to be therapists and intending to set up and run their own businesses. The competition is open to therapists currently training, and those who qualified before 30 September 2007. The Therapy Business Academy was launched in November 2007 to support students of ‘touch’ and ‘talk’ therapies by providing them with access to advice, support and information about setting up and running their own business. ‘Touch’ therapies include those such as massage and reflexology. ‘Talk’ therapies are not ‘hands on’ in a physical sense and include counselling and psychotherapy. The Therapy Business Academy is committed to changing the way the business of therapy is taught and to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in those who are committed to pursuing their therapy passion as a business. |
