Until February 1, 2008, all advertisements by education institutions with vacancies and education professionals seeking a paid or volunteer position will be free of charge. Visit our website at http://www.teachersunlimited.org/ Staff vacancies and positions sought. For a modest fee, teachers, teaching assistants, relief teachers, lecturers, educational leaders and administrators, at all levels, and from all countries, will be able to discretely advertise their availability online. Schools, kindergartens, colleges, universities and school systems, in all countries, will also be able to advertise their staff vacancies on the website. There is a 'heart of social justice' at the centre of Teachers Unlimited. All advertisements for volunteers seeking to assist schools in a wide range of disadvantaged countries (including Brazil, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and East Timor) will be published at no cost. Teachers Unlimited will also support free advertisements placed by schools, in developing countries, who are seeking unpaid volunteers to assist them, as a gesture of goodwill, in whatever roles they specify. They are hoping that this altruistic opportunity will attract retired teachers, those on long service leave or holidays, teacher trainees, GAP students - or indeed any suitable person checked and approved by the school concerned - who wishes to take some time out of his or her career, to make a positive difference to the lives of children in less privileged environments. Teachers Unlimited will carry the cost of this advertising service. Teachers Unlimited is completely international and puts the onus on teachers, school systems and education institutions to face and cross the boundaries that, until now, have slowed the flow of education staff across the globe. School systems everywhere are invited to post multiple vacancies. A global, education labour force that is increasingly crossing state, provincial and national borders, will mean that schools and education staff will now have much broader career-enriching choices. Through this advertising service, many education institutions and individuals, in the countries where this is possible, will be able to take direct responsibility for contacting, checking, selecting and making their own staff and career appointments and choices, without having to go through an expensive third party or a government agency that may not consider their specific needs. Teachers Unlimited is not a managed recruitment agency but, rather, a giant, international advertising website for educational institutions, education staff and volunteers. Details of users' staff needs - or career preferences - will travel far and wide. |
