The main & biggest event of the Diabetes Awareness Week was “Sugar Mela” at Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad, Pakistan.

January 16, 2007—Sugar Mela held in Punjab Medical College Faisalabad, Pakistan. Dr Ahmad Bilal will give an awareness lecture on Diabetes. There also held 12 training camps for public on How to take Blood Pressure, How to take weight of the Patient, How to inject Insulin? & Free Literature on Obesity, Diabetes & foot care, Eye complications, Renal Complications, Healthy Life Style, Exercise etc.

      Principal Punjab Medical College Prof Dr A.G.Rehan was the Chief Guest & emed collaborated with City School Faisalabad, School of Nursing Faisalabad, College of Paramedics Faisalabad & large number of public attended the lecture & got training of how to note blood pressure?, how to make weight & diet charts?, how to take insulin injection? Etc. Along with that, free camps of sugar & cholesterol testing were arranged. Free literature was also distributed. Emed doctors, public members & emed student teams of 3rd year PMC & 3rd year Faisalabad University, 9th & 10th class students from City School Faisalabad attended the function.

      Principal PMC advised on the efforts of doctors of emed & said that to attract public to this sort of awareness program & towards Punjab Medical College.
