If the patterns are truly to be broken, and society is truly positioned to empower our children to carry humanity to a higher level, then each and every parent must assume immediate responsibility. This means, in addition to feeding, clothing and educating their children, parents must teach their children about love and spirit. ï¿½Parents need to show their children where love is in the world and in people, as well as how to find it in themselves,ï¿½ states Clif Taylor, author of Connect. [November 2006; Connnected Spirit Publications in collaboration with Gold Leaf Press.] In this passage, Taylor is actually reiterating the wisdom he received from heaven upon asking a very fundamental question that had consumed him: How do parents raise their children if they are living in poverty? The gist of the discussion is that by leading through example in work, prayer and love and demonstrating that a familyï¿½s richness resides in the dignity of being together, children can evolve into loving, productive, beautiful human beings regardless of their socio-economic circumstances. In simple terms, parents in poverty must not deny that their lives are less comfortable, convenient or lavish; nor should they place outside blame for what they donï¿½t have. But, then, by reminding their child that no child lives in a more loving home, the child begins to feel the strength and power of universal love ï¿½ as itï¿½s being given and received. In addition, parents must encourage their children to dream, while being made aware that there are two types of dreams ï¿½ reality and fantasy. Children must understand the duality of dreams, but they can also learn to make the distinction between the two by being encouraged to discover and know themselves ï¿½ at their soul level. Taylor encourages every parent to ï¿½call on Connect .ï¿½ To do this, one simply asks Heaven a question, the patiently awaits its answer. When this is done on a regular basis, parents can share the love, guidance and wisdom they receive from Heaven with their children, while they are in position to positively imprint their childrenï¿½s spirit with love, trust, faith and beauty.
