Ice candy the crystal craze that sweeping the nation |

In an era of more - more people, more color, more noise, more graphics , It is very hard for any individual to stand out from the crowd. And one must admit that there is nothing like a little sparkle to catch the eye and honestly if a little is good, a lot is much better! So it's no wonder that bling is bigger than ever! Now London Based Company Ice- Candy, who specialize in using Swarovski crystals to "bling" everyday items, are offering a luxury crystallization service after designer Joelle Diop, 26, who is making a name for herself in the mobile-phone customization industry decided to apply 2000 Swarovski crystals to her boring black mobile phone. Others saw her phone, and orders started coming in. Ice-candy.co.uk was born. It takes between six and eleven hours to do the custom work (each crystal is painstakingly applied by hand), and clients get their shiny new phone in five to ten days after the initial meeting. Joelle advises her customers to use their new phone for a while before having it crystallized to make sure it is one they will want to keep. Although Joelle started doing simple solid color and geometric designs, her work has evolved to include complex design, floral and tattoo motifs. She also works with two artists, Kendra Rose and Hannah Kane, to help clients customize their designs. Joelle has added the crystal touch to items as large as Scooters, Motorcycle helmets, laptop computers and as personal as a Baby Pram. Most recently, she added to collection accessories such as game consoles like the X-box and the T-mobile Sidekick just launched in the UK and for promotional events, designed Champagne bottles, perfume bottles and crystallized corporate logos. And, for a price, she can do it for you, too. “Our newest division” explains Joelle “was created with the single purpose of applying Swarovski crystals to automotive and other vehicle parts giving them a sparkle and shine that is simply unmatched. Logos, emblems, license plate frames, fenders, shifter knobs, grills, and key chains are just a few of the items that we Bling in cars” As proof that the interest in luxurious phone customization is growing in the mobile phone industry, Ice-candy have already entered into negotiation with UK mobile phone providers for a partnership in order to offer customization service to their high-end customers.
