With improved technology and changes in work patterns, many of us are choosing to work from home and leave behind packed trains, traffic jams and the monotony of a nine to five regime. While there are many advantages to working from home, especially for parents of small children, who can adapt their working day around family commitments, separating work from family life is essential. Creating a dedicated work-space is therefore a must. It’s great if you have a spare room that you can turn it into an office but with space at a premium for many people, it may be that a bedroom, living room or even conservatory has to multi-task and become a multi-functional space. A clever – and cost effective - way of doing this is to use a venetian blind as a room divider to zone off the area that you want to set aside for office space. You can also use roller blinds as an effective way to cover up clutter and work paraphernalia, so at the end of the day you can simply pull down the blind and out of sight becomes out of mind!
Aluminium venetian blinds start at £33. Roller blinds start at £49. vertical blinds start at £45, all measured, made and fitted. Call Hillarys on 0800 916 6516 for more information or visit Hillarys Blinds.
