‘IT GIRL’ CHOOSES ‘IT LAGER’!

Cusqueña (pronounced CUS-KEN-YA), the Peruvian lager - launched by two former Huddersfield University students after its company directors discovered it travelling in Peru - was the exclusive beer, chosen by Tara Palmer Tomkinson, served to a host of top A-List stars including; David & Victoria Beckham, Gordon Ramsay, Kate Winslett, Sienna Miller and Jude Law at the launch of ‘The original It Girl’s’ new events company ‘Three’s a Crowd’ at London’s exclusive Mayfair Hotel.

News Release – DEC 06 2006

The super stylish lager was requested ahead of other, more established brands due to its fantastic taste and glowing endorsement from the UK’s top bartenders.  This has helped Cusqueña secure a growing celebrity following and also seen it become the chosen brand for all GQ and Glamour Magazine’s respective celebrity events.

Made using the purest glacial water from the tops of the Peruvian Andes and called “one of the coolest drinks of the summer” in one recent national magazine article, Cusqueña has had a rapid rise to fame following its launch by the two friends from the back of a Punto in Manchester and Leeds!

The beer is stocked in some of the best bars in the country including Trio, Jakes Bar, Boutique & multi-award winning MOJO.  It is now also stocked in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Threshers and ASDA.  With Waitrose also set to come on board soon.

Says Kieron Barton of Cusqueña; “For us to be asked to be involved in with such a high profile A-List event such as this and so soon after the GQ and Glamour awards is a great testament to this fabulous lager – it really is becoming the ‘It Lager’! When you are a small company like us it really helps to raise the profile even further when people are choosing Cusqueña ahead of more well established lager brands.  We are looking forward to establishing a long relationship with Tara’s company for her future events.”

“Marvellous, fresh and crisp with a malty flavour that knocks the spots of the watery Mexican Lagers”
Restaurant, 10th May 2006

“5/5, “excellent”
The List Magazine, Edinburgh

“I always demand quality and Cusqueña has that quality; it is a truly exceptional lager and is the only one I’d recommend.”
Class Best Bartender Winner and Flavour Magazine’s Bartender Of The Year 2004

“Cusqueña is simply a clean, crisp and great tasting beer…it is a far better bottled beer at a comparable price to most others.  Unlike fizzy, thin tasting Budweiser (and for that matter Kirin, Tiger, Perroni, Michelob Beck’s and so on) it has a full flavour and a rich aftertaste.” –
City Life Magazine
