Product recalls from Fisher Price/Mattel, Mothercare, Boots & Marks & Spencers. 

Since the launch of our free Product Recall Service 6 months ago there have been over 20 baby/child product recalls in the UK from leading retailers such as Fisher Price/Mattel, Mothercare, Boots & Marks & Spencer’s etc.

With Christmas just around the corner parents have to be wary about where they buy their children’s gifts.  A recent study by the University of Dayton, Ohio, USA, found 190 internet auctions which contained or were suspected to contain recalled children’s products, 70% of these auctions resulted in a sale.

Another study in the USA by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, found that of the 152 products recalled there between January 2007 and June 2007, 104 were made in China.  Products recalled included portable baby swings & baby carriers.
