PROMOTING GREEN. LOCAL COMPANY PLANTS A TREE FOR EVERY SYSTEM THAT IS INSTALLED. |

Hounslow, 17th January 2007: From the start of the year a local company (Securicorp Ltd) will be planting a tree for every shop and home in which they install a security system. The company has, like many others do, an internal recycling program and this is an idea which extends to its consmers as well. As part of the green week on Sky the staff at Securicorp have increased there awareness of the impact of global warming. The week did also detail things which can be done to help the environment as well. The green issue is a universal business and consumer issue and can be tackled at any level. “From a supplier prospective we have always enquired about where the product comes from. All our small business and domestic CCTV recorders are ROHS compliant and internally our 2 offices have a manager whose duty includes managing the recycling”, said Archana Shah, Head of Retail. Securicorp has tied up with the international tree foundation to initiate the scheme. All trees planted will be recorded each month and dependant on the amount each month the foundation can even designate areas. The issues of global warming are far reaching but firm size does not discriminate the level of effort an organisation or person can put into assisting with this cause.
