NEW SHOPPING SEARCH ENGINE POWERED BY PRICE |

Just in time for Christmas, a new kind of search engine finally enables UK consumers to shop the internet by price.
All you need to know is just how much money is burning a hole in your pocket right now. Then click on, say, £40 and see a huge range of goods and services – around 10,000 different items, in fact – ranging from gadgets to gym gear, framed prints to days out, from a pink tractor trailer to a chocolate fountain. But it gets even better. Burning a Hole uses clever filters to remove the stuff you know you don’t need – for example, wine or outdoor gear or perfume or children’s toys – until new, more interesting, quirkier or just more-appropriate-for-Auntie-Flo options are revealed. Tom Smith, the site's inventor said... "A while ago I decided to have a look at both Amazon and Google and see what was wrong with them and came to the conclusion that they are great when you know what you want, but not so good when you are looking for inspiration. I also thought that people quite often have no idea what they do want but know what they don’t want and will only know what they want when they see it. It’s why department stores are so good, you get to dismiss hundreds of items very quickly."
