There is an early adoptor growth of FLATBREADS purchases in the UK multiples and it is growing at a record 11% per annum. Not just pita, but naan, khobies and international flatbreads, far flung from the normal Mexican tortills breads.Although these are seeing popular purchases for home use. High Street brands for Food service have taken this trend to new hiehts, like Hummus Bros www.hbros.co.uk and the growing chain that originated in Leeds and now in London and even Dubai, WRAPID, www.wrapid.com The heritage and tradition of flatbreads goes back to mans first staple diet. Alexander the Great it is claimed brought flatbread from Northern Asia in 2400BC (?) Has anyone else witnessed this desire for mans earliest preparred food, anywhere else in Europe.?
