A stunning £30,000 single stone diamond pendant is the highlight of an antique jewellery auction being held in Birmingham, UK, later this month.
Auctioneer Fellows & Sons has 730 lots up for sale from 10.30am on Thursday 28th February 2008. It puts on up to eight antique and modern jewellery sales a year. The highlight this time is lot 238 with a guide price of £25,000 - £30,000. It’s an 18ct white gold heart shape diamond pendant of 10.26cts. The diamond is in a scroll design three claw setting with an attached belcher link chain leading along by a single smaller heart shape diamond to the clasp.   Managing partner Stephen Whittaker said: "An exquisite diamond such as this is bound to attract a lot of attention globally. "We see a huge amount of antique and modern jewellery at Fellows, and this is one of the most exciting pieces in this sale." While the sale is being held in Fellows’ modern auction rooms in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, UK, people will be able to bid for it from around the world. Buyers can monitor the sale online and place bids for any of the antique or modern jewellery pieces in real time. You can view the full online catalogue here.
