Thinstore to Offer New Websense Product for Small to Medium Sized Organisations
Written by Thinstore
Wednesday, 05 September 2007
Thinstore, the UK and Europe’s leading online supplier of thin client and server based computing products, has become a specialist SMB partner for Websense® Express, a new solution priced and optimised for SMBs. Thinstore will offer a pricing scheme to customers that has been created specifically for mid-sized businesses.
The newest edition to the Websense portfolio, Websense Express provides content filtering and Internet security capabilities for SMBs in a simple and affordable solution. It allows organisations with fewer than 500 users to quickly and easily protect their employees from Internet risks by controlling access to inappropriate content and proactively blocking security threats.
“Websense Express expands Thinstore’s security portfolio and is suitable for our medium sized customers who want a best of breed content filtering solution, but do not require an enterprise solution,” said Caroline Stokes, Sales and Marketing Manager for Thinstore. “Our sales team will be able to advise customers on their security requirements and offer trials of the product.”
Thinstore is able to offer customers the additional benefit of purchasing Websense pre-installed on a Microsoft ISA Server appliance, through its partnership with Celestix.  This option enables customers to easily consolidate their security and benefit from a plug and play device.
By achieving the Websense Sapphire level of partner accreditation, Thinstore has demonstrated a high level of competence in how to sell and support Websense products within the SMB Solutions Program.  Thinstore is able to offer customers technical assistance if required.
“We are delighted that Thinstore is making Websense Express available to its customers and has demonstrated the depth of understanding, commercial commitment and technical competence to achieve Sapphire Partner status,” comments Frank Coggrave, senior regional director western Europe for Websense.  “All sizes of organisations are increasingly vulnerable to Web security threats, and it is essential that SMBs have access to intelligent, easy to deploy software that will offer protection within minutes of installation and effectively manage business Internet use.”
Websense products are designed to increase employee Internet productivity and secure organisations from emerging Internet threats. The company’s products interoperate with a wide range of industry leading network security products including firewalls, proxy servers, caches and appliances.
