Link building is one of the hardest things to do

In the time spent roaming the Internet jumping from website to website,
it strikes me that links is the only real method of travel.
With a rather large number of directories and link schemes that seam to have hit the net; paid and free link exchange directories seem to be the norm these days.
Some of which are rising to great heights in search results and some are not.
In the time spent roaming the Internet jumping from website to website,

With a rather large number of directories and link schemes that seam to have hit the net;
paid and free link exchange directories seem to be the norm these days.
Some of which are rising to great heights in search results and some are not.
Spending some time looking into these directories,
i have come to realise that each directory has its own agenda; be it money or Google greatness.
Never-the-less very few directories have one thing in common; quality.
Link building is one of the hardest things to do when creating a successful website,
on little or no budget. As your newly uploaded website needs inbound links for it to be seen;
let alone get to the top of search results.
There are varying methods of achieving inbound links but require a lot
of work and patience. Finding reciprocal link partners with high ranking sites
is almost impossiable and i read it somewhere to write articles on a topic related
to your site. Good luck finding a topic not already covered.
So whats a new webmaster to do to achieve inbound links and Google greatness?.
Well your guess is as good as mine.
But one things for sure; if the big sites continue to ignore smaller
and new websites link requests, "yours and my dreams will remain just that."
