September 11, 2007 – I Recognise That.com is a new website that builds on the popular questions and answers format. Free to use, it not only allows you to ask and answer questions on a variety of subjects from multiple categories, but gives you the option to upload photos to help illustrate your question as well. ‘We’ve had people with glass bowls worth £400 not knowing what they were until they posted photos of them on the site’ says Cotswold’s based I Recognise That creator Stuart Peters, ‘This is a perfect example of why I started the site in the first place’. However questions don’t have to be accompanied by a photo. ‘We had a lot of people wanting to ask questions that didn’t relate to an image, so we adapted to give the option to ask straight forward text only questions as well. People from around the world are already using the site for a variety of applications, from doing homework to collecting, from DIY to ebaying, and even finding song lyrics. Questions are mostly answered by other people using the website, but I Recognise That does have its own small army on hand to scour various information resources to assist in answering questions as well.
