Shopping.com bags Boden, Dorothy Perkins, Austin Reed and Country Casuals as major clothing retailers start to sign up to online comparison shopping sites in a bid to expand their online footprints.

25th April 2008, London: Shopping.com, the UK’s leading shopping comparison site, this week announces the addition of four major clothing retailers to its network.

Mail order retailer Boden and high street giants Dorothy Perkins, Austin Reed and Country Casuals have all chosen to work with Shopping.com as they move into the increasingly influential realm of price comparison shopping.

The news adds tens of thousands of products to the Shopping.com search site - one of the fastest growing shopping destinations on the internet.

Commenting on the new partnership with Shopping.com, a spokesperson for Boden said, “We've opted to work with Shopping.com for the launch of our summer range as they're experts within the comparison industry, and more importantly they can help introduce new customers to our great clothes collection via their huge online network.”

Matthew Hardcastle, MD of Shopping.com added, “It’s great to get these four big brands on board. Clothing is not only Shopping.com’s fastest growing category but it’s the fastest growing category within online retail, so it‘s a very exciting time for us!”

In February 2008, Shopping.com was ranked number one for monthly unique visitors amongst all online shopping directories in the UK, with over 3.5 million unique visitors.1 It has the largest network within the comparative shopping market, with hundreds of retail partners in the UK.

Online retail shopping is a rapidly expanding market with the overall value of online sales in the UK predicted to grow from £42 billion in 2007 to a staggering £78 billion by 2010.2  The fastest growing retail category within online shopping is the clothing and footwear category, which grew by 38% in 2007 alone.3
