Barteak sells 70 per cent in first two months at

Located on the junction of Stone Street and Oldbury Ringway, close to the centre of the town, Origin will eventually house 51 one and two bedroom contemporary apartments. Boasting one of the best specifications of any current Black Country scheme, yet with one bedroom apartments at around £100,000 and two bedroom apartments at under £130,000 in the current release, Origin has created a buying surge with local owner-occupiers and investors.

Barteak is scheduled to launch a further two residential schemes in the Black Country during 2007, located within Wednesbury and Stourbridge.

Origin has been designed in five sections using contemporary modern architecture that will create a new local landmark for Oldbury. The size of the apartments are slightly larger than the industry average, providing future residents with a well proportioned modern home. The one bedroom apartments in the current release are 512 sq ft and include an open plan living and dining area, fully fitted kitchen, double bedroom and contemporary bathroom. The two bedroom apartments are 682 sq ft and include an ensuite to the master bedroom.

The majority of Origin apartments are located on the ground, first and second floors, with only four apartments located on the third, penthouse floor. All 51 apartments, which comprise 10 one bedroom homes and 41 two bedroom designs, are sold with the benefit of an allocated parking space located at the rear of the purpose built apartment scheme.

The specification at Origin is 'Life Ready', enabling new residents to simply move in their own furniture.

Karndean flooring is provided in the living areas, kitchens, hallways and bathrooms/ensuites, whilst high quality carpet is fitted in the bedrooms. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and all bathrooms/ensuites are fitted with vanity units that complement the contemporary white sanitaryware from Villeroy & Boch. Kitchens are fully fitted from design-led manufacturer Nobillia, and incorporate a range of integrated appliances.

As a true sign of Barteak's attention to detail, all apartments also come complete with contemporary light fittings and blinds to all windows. A Barteak 'Communications Package' is also installed, providing audio entry, and enabling easy access to broadband and satellite services. A 10 year NHBC guarantee is also provided across the scheme.

Barteak, which formed as a specialist in residential and mixed-use development in 1978, also acts as the managing agent for its portfolio of apartment schemes under the brand 'Total Management Solutions'. This enables purchasers to benefit from an excellent level of service with management fees that are as low as 60/70p per sq ft. Barteak also ensures that the annual ground rent charged to apartment owners is much less than other residential schemes, with a rate of only £75 being collected each year following build completion.

Origin is located within easy reach of a large, popular retail park, the array of shops, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities at Merry Hill and the Waterfront in Brierley Hill, and close to junction 2 of the M5.
