York, Pa. – June 20, 2008 – St. Onge Co. today announced it assisted Church & Dwight Co. Inc. in its plans to build a new, 1.1-million-square-foot manufacturing and distribution center. Church & Dwight announced plans June 5 to construct an integrated laundry detergent manufacturing plant and distribution center in York County, Pa., occupying about 232 acres. It expects construction to begin September 2008 and the center to become operational by the end of 2009. “We are pleased that we were able to assist Church & Dwight in the planning for this company milestone and that they decided to place the new manufacturing and distribution facility in St. Onge’s back yard,” said Sean O’Neill, senior consultant and partner. “We are always excited when we can provide a service that helps the decision-making process of a company with Church & Dwight’s history, scale and reputation. It’s an added bonus to be involved in a project that will have a positive impact on the local economy. We look forward to working with them in supporting the engineering and start-up in the near future.” St. Onge performed a detailed engineering and simulation effort to develop the new facility design. “Our master planning process defined the technologies and highly effective operational processes, leveraging best in class procedures, which ultimately drove the size and design of the facility,” O’Neill said.Church & Dwight manufactures and markets personal care, household and specialty products under the Arm & Hammer brand name and other well-known trademarks.
