McCann Systems, an innovative design-build audiovisual firm, unveiled the new and fully digital display system for the MarketSite television broadcast studio and was invited by Christie Digital to ring in the NASDAQ’s QMX Market Opening on Monday, July 21st at 9:30 am.

Serving as the epicenter for NASDAQ QMX news and events, MarketSite is located in the heart of New York's Times Square.  In celebration of these new audio visual elements within the MarketSite broadcast studio and in acknowledgement of innovative AV integration and collaboration, representatives from McCann Systems were invited by Christie Digital Systems for the honor of participating in the Market Open.  Representing McCann Systems, Jonathan Shor (Director of Technology), Ken Newbury (Project Manager) and Cory Crawford (Sales Executive) were in attendance as well as Jack Kline, President and COO of Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. and Gerry Remers, President and COO of Christie Digital Systems Canada, Inc.

McCann Systems collaborated with Christie Digital Systems, a digital projection and screen manufacturer, to design and retrofit custom Christie screens and projectors and replace the existing analog head-end system with a completely new 100% digital system.  The showcase of the MarketSite studio, an impressive 44-foot long by 14-foot high wall of rear-projection video cubes was completely replaced with custom screens manufactured by Christie Digital Systems, and integrated by McCann Systems.

Since NASDAQ QMX is renowned for up-to-the-second market news, there were obvious concerns about any downtime to complete this audio visual over-haul.  McCann Systems accommodated this design and implementation to have virtually no impact on the ongoing broadcast of approximately 100 live market updates, including CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, NDTV Profit, CNBD India, Business Week TV and other financial networks.
