Small Business News: Duncan Bannatyne from BBC’s “Dragons’ Den” and Stuart Rock, the Editorial Director of “Real Business” Magazine in the UK endorse the new book on business opportunities for entrepreneurs, “400 Latest & Greatest New Small Business Ideas & Business Opportunities From Around The World” by Terry Kyle. June 26, 2008. Every year, more than 350,000 new businesses are started in Britain and over 600,000 start-ups open their doors in America. In each case, the aspiring entrepreneur behind the new business had to actually get the idea for exactly what type of business to go into.
That made Terry Kyle, a former advertising copywriter and creative director from Finchley in London, wonder how aspiring entrepreneurs - like those on Donald Trump’s and Alan Sugar’s “The Apprentice” or “Dragons’ Den” - tap into the best new business ideas from around the world.
One year of intense research later and Kyle has produced the first edition of “400 Latest & Greatest Small Business Ideas From Around The World” (available now at http://www.amazon.com/Small-Business-Ideas-Latest-Greatest/dp/0955898900/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210065125&sr=8-2 and at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Small-Business-Ideas-Latest-Greatest/dp/0955898900/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210065049&sr=8-3).
According to Kyle, “many of the ideas in the book are absolutely brilliant but some are just bizarre, like the American company that specializes in sending cremated ashes into space.” The book covers a diverse spectrum of business product and service innovation, from pizza vending machines to LED t-shirts that light up around music, to indoor bungee jumping and wearable airbags for motorcyclists and many, many others including some franchise business opportunities.
However, Kyle wanted his book to contain very real new business ideas that were actual commercial entities as he felt that the few books available on the topic were too vague, limited and unrealistic about new business opportunities. As a result, he includes web addresses, company names and the inventor or creator behind each new business idea. The book also features a great deal of advice on establishing a successful business.
In terms of endorsement for Kyle’s book, Duncan Bannatyne from BBC’s “Dragons’ Den” recently called his book, “comprehensive, insightful and a must-read for today’s entrepreneur” and Stuart Rock, the Editorial Director of “Real Business” Magazine in the UK said, “I liked this book. It's entertaining, inventive and energetic. Anybody thinking about starting a business will find it either an inspiration or a healthy warning.”
The book has just been released through Kyle’s own publishing operation, www.TheWorldsBiggestBooks.com and is available through Amazon in the US and in Britain.
