KIA POWERS FORWARD WITH HELP FROM TTS

TTS Europe, the specialist automotive training consultancy, has won a two year contract for the development and delivery of a technical training curriculum for Kia Motors UK.  This will play an integral role in helping Kia to more than double its UK sales over the next four years.

Kia Motors UK Limited is part of Kia Motors Corporation, based in Seoul, South Korea.  The company has experienced unprecedented growth in Europe, including more than tripling its UK sales – from 12,000 to 40,000 units – in the past four years.  It now plans to reach 100,000 units per annum in the next four years, but this needs to be underpinned by a comprehensive training programme.

Kia recognised that it needed professional expertise to set up this programme, and turned to TTS Europe.  Ian Goswell, Kia UK’s Dealer Training Manager, explains: “We chose TTS based on the quality and design of the courses they have previously developed for us – and because of their professionalism and their willingness to find the right solution to our needs.  They have the flexibility we need and are also committed to exceptional levels of customer service.”

TTS is already gaining a powerful reputation for the quality of its training within the automotive industry.  It will have to work to challenging timescales and develop a versatile curriculum for Kia.  This will ultimately provide Kia’s rapidly growing dealership network with the vital knowledge and skills it needs as it continues to expand.

The new curriculum designed by TTS will support Kia’s growing range of vehicles, its technology, and a number of key business issues.  One of the new vehicles that it will support will be the cee’d – the first car to be designed and built by Kia in Europe, exclusively for European customers.

Duncan Souster, Managing Director of TTS Europe, comments: “We are very excited about this project, and look forward to playing our part in Kia’s continuing success story.  We have previously delivered a number of ad hoc courses for the company, and I believe we have won this contract because of the quality of our approach and the dedication and hard work of our team.  We are all very excited about working even more closely with Kia and to seeing our training curriculum make a significant impact upon their capabilities and customer satisfaction levels.”
