The latest update of the PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings is in: this week, Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis remains at number one. Hot on his heels is Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, who sits at number two in the world of online poker. Let’s take a look at who else made waves among this illustrious group of poker players.
Escazu, San Jose, October 06, 2008 -- The PocketFives.com Rankings were what originally catapulted the online poker community to the forefront of the industry back in 2005. Originally a subjective ordering of the best players in online poker, the Rankings have gradually evolved into an automated industry standard. Recalculated every single week on Wednesdays, the Rankings identify up and coming players in the poker world along with those whose stock is sky high. They have become the standard by which online poker players across the globe are measured. This week, Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis remains atop the Online Poker Rankings. He is leading both the PocketFives Leader Board (PLB) and Pro Poll, which make up a combined two-thirds of a person’s standing. Kamberis is a three-time Triple Crown winner on PocketFives.com and has multiple victories in the esteemed $100 and $200 rebuys on PokerStars. He took third place in the recently-completed PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event, cashing for $782,000 as part of a five-way chop. He’s won the Absolute Poker $150K and finished second in the Full Tilt Poker $1 Million Guaranteed. Kamberis is a contributing writer on PocketFives.com. Right behind him is Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, who sits at number two in both the PLB and Pro Poll. Moorman holds the record for the only person ever to win the PocketFives Triple Crown five times; his most recent victory came in August. He’s won the $1K on both Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker. Moorman has a chop in the Sunday Second Chance on PokerStars and made the final table of the Full Tilt Poker $750K Guarantee back in January. He’s one of the highest volume players online. Rounding out the top 10 in the PocketFives.com Worldwide Rankings are djk123 (third,) shaundeeb (fourth,) UltimateBet Star Player P0KERPR033 (fifth,) BeL0WaB0Ve (sixth,) USCphildo (seventh,) ender555 (eighth,) Tomgus456 (ninth) and gboro780 (tenth.) Rising back into the Rankings this week and entering at #86 is Jeff "YoungSupremacy" Hakim, who just took down the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $91,500. Hailing from the United Kingdom, badpab2 is right on Hakim’s tail, entering the Rankings at #87. Nick “agiffrod” Mitchell jumped from 90th to 76th on the strength of several recent wins on PokerStars. So who will be number one next week? Will Kamberis remain perched atop the PocketFives.com Rankings or will Moorman be able to overtake him? Visit PocketFives.com, the premier online poker community, to find out.
