A study, conducted by wireless headset manufacturer, Jabra has revealed that wireless headsets are helping workers to be more productive. A study, conducted by wireless headset manufacturer, Jabra has revealed that wireless headsets are helping workers to be more productive. The ability to work away from the desk has proved to be beneficial for many businesses who are finding that an un-restrictive workplace environment is helping workers to work smarter, faster and better.
The survey, commissioned by Jabra’s parent company GN Netcom in conjunction with e-Media, revealed that only 16% of workers questioned spent all of their working hours in the office. Of the 150 people surveyed, 75% admitted to spending at least an hour each day away from their desk. 56% claimed that it was modern technology such as digital cordless headsets that enabled them to work remotely and improve productivity.
One of the most alarming statistics from the survey revealed that over half of workers miss important calls whilst away from their desks. Over 60% admitted that having a wireless headset would enable them to take calls anywhere and hence, make sure that this never happens again.
Gary Basso, director of Big Box shop, one of the U.K’s leading suppliers of Jabra cordless headsets commented on the study:
“This study proves what we have known for a long time, that wireless headsets are hugely beneficial in the workplace. As workers become increasingly mobile, it is important that business owners keep up with these trends by equipping their staff with the latest innovations.”
