iDTRONIC, a leading supplier of RFID hardware solutions, announced today the introduction of its newest RFID Product, the Compact Flash UHF Reader /Writer

The new Compact Flash UHF Reader/Writer from iDTRONIC supports the full UHF frequency band from 860 – 960 MHz. It has been designed and developed to allow Pocket PCs, PDA’s, Handheld Terminals and other mobile devices to access to ISO 18000-6 Part B + C (Gen1-Gen2) UHF smart labels, tags and ISO transponders.

iDTRONIC’s new lightweight UHF CF clearly demonstrates how mobile readers are getting more and more compact. With a weight of just 30 grams, and measuring just 95mm x 60mm x 12 mm in combination with a robust ABS housing, the new reader fits in anywhere.

The CF Reader can work with the latest Pocket PCs and PDAs with an integrated CF2 Interface and supports Windows CE, Windows Pocket PC and Windows Mobile 5 & 6 operating systems. The reading distance for the CF Reader can be up to 50cm, depending on the type and size of the used UHF transponder.

Efficient power management is ensured by the 3.3 Volt Power supply, with power consumption of just 20 mA in Stand-by mode and 250 mA in Active mode. The UHF CF Reader includes a dual colour LED to easily monitor the reading status. The power output is programmable to 20dBM in 1dB step size.

iDTRONIC´s CF device is packaged with a CD ROM containing full documentation and software for testing and as optional available SDK version with more software and libraries for the development in Windows environment .
