3BILL buys Face-pic.com as part of social networking strategy ~ A third social networking brand added to company portfolio ~ London, 8th October, 2008 - 3BILL, the mobile division of Symbios Group, today announced the acquisition of popular social networking platform – www.face-pic.com. The acquisition is the third significant deal for 3BILL in the last six months, following the purchase of ProfileHeaven.com (winner of 2006 UK website of the Year) and Faces.com, the international social network. The combined user-base will rival some of the UK’s most popular social networks, and the launch of a new site on the premium Faces.com domain name is planned for November 2008. New site features will include imaginative games, improved messaging and chat facilities, mobile connectivity and a dynamic interface that will appeal to all users. The acquisition of Face-pic.com, a global photo-sharing site boasting around 700,000 users and web traffic of over 25,000 unique users a day, includes all of the assets owned by the company, transfer of the domain, and the user base. At nine years old, Face-pic.com was one of the pioneers of the social networking phenomenon.
