The Quebec Saint-Malo Transat organizers and LiveSkipper present The Quebec Saint-Malo Transat Virtual Challenge. This navigation simulator will allow you to participate, virtually, to one of the most important sailing competition, for free. Therefore, you only need to go to LiveSkipper.com and register - it's free! The challenge opens on 10th of July 2008 (16:00 GMT) and closes on 1st of august 2008 (16:00 GMT).
The Quebec Saint-Malo Transat is run every 4 years (starting in 1984) to celebrate Jacques Cartier's discovery of Canada in 1534. It is the only Transatlantic team race that goes from West to East and uniquely starts in the Saint Lawrence Seaway.
The Quebec Saint-Malo Transat record was established in 1996 by Loïck Peyron on Fujicolor II and stands at 7 days 20 hours and 24 minutes. Take this new challenge and see if you are able to beat Peyron's record. |
