8 June 2008 Cameron Mooney, team member of 2007 AFL Premiership winners the Geelong Cats, has just wrapped up an online promotional video on the great benefits Navsports.com has for Australian Grassroot Sports Clubs. “Navsports are right on the pulse when it comes to supporting Australian sports clubs. Navsports is a great free tool and I am glad to be associated with an organisation that can reach so many people.” Cameron Mooney said. The Sydney based company, has announced they now have over 14,000 sports clubs listed in their multiple sports directory www.navsports.com making the site the largest sports directory in Australia. “The popularity of online sports networking and social media sites has grown over the years, no longer can you just have a directory of clubs you have to provide smart, clear networking tools for both the sports participant and the sports clubs themselves” says Navsports CEO Mr Stewart Whicker. Navsports which stands for navigate sports, currently has a database of 33 popular sports for over 14,000 clubs and facilities. Finding a sports club in your area or nationally is as easy as entering your postcode, you can also find likeminded people to meet and play a game with. Mr Whicker says the company plans on expanding the sports offered to over 586 sports and tools that will promote grassroots sports like never before. “All Australian sports clubs should be on a level playing field when it comes to promotion and we will be rolling out technologies that will do just that.” Mr Whicker said. Ease of navigation and accuracy are two striking features about the site, whether you are searching for Archery clubs or Table Tennis clubs results appear in seconds. Sporting clubs also get access to free video and photo uploads which are all controlled from their own secure admin area. Furthermore users can list coming events, coach profiles, view user statistics and more. The site is completely free for all Australian sports clubs.
