Britons set to profit from London Olympics 2012

26th August 2008 - With Team GB hitting an impressive fourth place in the Beijing Olympics, the British public will be expecting another excellent performance from our athletes in London Olympics 2012 and can benefit from these games in a way they may not have previously considered. Olympics 2012 can give the means for easy incomes for a number of Britons by renting out their properties, parking spaces or even any land they may have for camping facilities. The recent games saw an enormous influx of visitors into the Chinese capital and the surrounding areas where events were held. Similarly, the UK can expect to see a bigger than average number of visitors to its shores in 2012.  Given that hotels and general holiday accommodation are likely to be fully booked, the need for private properties, other accommodation options and parking facilities to cater for the ‘Olympic factor’ cannot be ignored.  Dr. Anne Jones of www.spareground.com says “It is not only residents in the Greater London vicinity who can expect to benefit by renting out their space. Those within commutable distance to London can also seize this opportunity to rent their properties, driveways, garages, and parking spaces to visitors. Areas such as Oxford and Cambridge are also likely to be desired locations along with the Home Counties and regional areas of Scotland, Wales, and England where there are Olympic events taking place.  We can also expect that these visitors are likely to visit the many tourist areas throughout the UK, before, during or after the games.” The greater “Team GB” now has four years to begin planning how they can facilitate the success of the London 2012 Olympics by renting out their space to help cater for what is likely to be a fantastic event. About Spareground (www.spareground.com)The Spareground website has been created to provide a pragmatic solution for all UK residents and businesses to capitalise on any spare space they may have and is completely free of charge to use. The type of space includes but is not limited to parking spaces, driveways, garages, car share spaces, storage space, gardens, unused land and general accommodation to name a few.  END   If you would like more information on Spareground, please contact Dr. Anne Jones on 07974 225416 or by email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
