BRITAIN & INTERNATIONAL CHEER UNION

The British Cheerleading Association has its membership of the International Cheer Union ratified, the UK becoming one of almost 50 cheer nations now officially part of the international governing body for cheerleading.

The I.C.U. is the international governing body for Cheerleading, it's primary objective is "to provide a unified voice for all who are dedicated to the positive advancement of cheerleading throughout the world".

The BCA looks forward to entering a national team in the first ICU World National Team Championships to be held 24 April 2009 at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA.   ICU anticipate more than 100 national teams and 30 cheer nations to represent world cheerleading there.

As the largest cheer community in Europe the British Cheerleading Association will be playing a more active role in this truly international sport.

The British Cheerleading Association is a non profit organisation with a membership of over 400 clubs throughout the UK, founded in 1984.
