ZonkIt.com forms communities around your favorite Hollywood nightlife spots allowing you to meet the people that frequent the same places. ZonkIt has nightlife guides that help you navigate through Hollywood Clubs , Los Angeles Clubs, Hollywood bars, and Hollywood bars , making the best value for your time. MySpace/Friendster/Facebook/etc – any social based site will be in competition with the already established “global social sites”. However, all of these sites main focus is around the person/profile. Interaction is person to person, and there is no focus put on the community side of things. Facebook’s original focus around schools (and some what companies) brought them to the dominating state they are now but they have opened the flood gates to everyone so now their site has the global social feel. We will be able to tap into the traffic of these sites because our focus is based on the social settings people go to in the real world giving everyone on Zonkit an element of commonality. Our niche focus of targeting already established social settings and groups of people and bridging this interaction online will change the way people are able to socialize. Going.com, Eventful, etc are our closest competitors but they have put too much focus towards being destination sites for finding where to go, and not concentrating on the interaction which is the basis for growth. Therefore, the event social networking startups failed to realize their full potential. Social settings are made up of people sharing similar lifestyles who are looking to interact; we provide an interface for enhancing this interaction through our communities.
