The Red Devils will be jumping out of their aircraft at about 13,000 feet and after a series of exhilarating parachute displays they will touch down at the Parsloes Park, in Dagenham and into the “In the Mix” festival on the 2nd of August. In The Mix” festival is an annual family community cohesion event organised by a local charity called Seedtime Projects.
BBC 1 extra DJ Edu is the master of ceremony and the event will feature a range of local music artistes playing different styles of music including Rock, RnB, Gospel artists, Brass band and others. We also have marquees with displays from various local voluntary and non voluntary organisations. The event also has exclusive areas for children, young people and the elderly. Tunde Ewedemi the Chief executive for Seedtime projects said in an exclusive interview “We have something for everyone at this event, In the Mix is a platform for pulling our community together especially with the current political situation in Barking and Dagenham. Our objective is simple, lets find a way to live together peacefully.” The organisers are still interested in talking to organisations who would like to sponsor some of the acts on the day.
